From baby to big girl ... from single words to full sentences (this morning she asked, "May I be excused?" after breakfast) ... from Älmhult to Portland ... from dagis to preschool ... from ducky at night to not being able to leave the house without one of her buddies ... from shy to little ham ... from high chair to regular chair ... from napp to no pacifier ... from picky eater to sushi eater ... from being dressed to putting on her own jacket ... from crib to big-girl bed ... from super-short baby hair to ponytail ... from the best thing that ever happened to us two years ago to the best thing that ever happened to us three years ago.
and from apartment to new home?

Crazy! It really does not feel like three years ago that you, me, Melissa and Amy were eating lunch at your house bawling our eyes out at the miracle of life :-)
And look how long her hair is! Happy birthday, kiddo!

Happy birthday, Sophie! What a great post.
Also, no pacifier? How did it happen? And sushi? Wow.
Hurrah for 3! Hurrah for Sophie!

Amy, ditching the pacifier was surprisingly easy. It took 2-3 days. We started with only at night/nap. Then we took it away for sleeping too. I thought she would throw more of a hissy fit but perhaps since we were denying it at non-sleeping times she just got used to it. I cant take any credit for making it happen. It was all Lewis.

Ahhhh, she's beautiful. Just so lovely, and I love her wings :) Your words about her are so touching (very impressed, also - sushi eater:)
So long since I checked in with you and it's always such a pleasure to do so. I hope that Almhult continues to treat you well and that you are happy!!! I was in Stockholm in December with old IKEA friends for a beautiful Advent weekend in Gamla Stan, it was amazing as usual - such the perfect contrast to Italy for me.
Warm hugs from the snowy wine hills of Piemonte.
