sunday night lights

Our uneventful weekend almost ended in an uneventful way until Lewis suggested that perhaps tonight was the night to check out the Zoo Lights. Although just as we were getting ready to head out, it started raining pretty hard. We were so close to bailing. But when we saw that the weather forecast called for showers, we decided to chance it. Maybe it would stop by the time we got there. Little did we know that the slight gain in elevation would turn that heavy rain into heavy snow at the zoo. We don't see much snow in Portland, so it made for a pretty special night.

Hooray for getting off our butts on a lazy Sunday night.

Yes, I do love when that happens. Yay for spontaneity that pays off we. We took a spontaneous car ride one recent Friday evening and Siggy got car sick and threw up everywhere! That was one of those times I kicked myself for not just staying home, but you have to try.
