    Think Colorado. Flooded. Oslo is a refreshing little city and the fjords offered beautiful views in all directions. Not love, love. But definitely like, like. See my blog entry.

    Yes, it has beautiful architecture. But no soul. Skip it and go to Budapest instead.
  • berlin, germany
    We only spent a night here, but I could tell immediately that this was a city I could live in. Hope we can get back there sometime soon. Loved the new architecture, friendly people and the gigantic, wooded park.

so glad i bought those party flags

We celebrated Sophie's birthday today (instead of tomorrow, which is her official big day... blog post in the works), and I decorated the house with some Danish party flags I found in Århus. It was one of those spontaneous, I'm-not-sure-what-I'll-use-these-for-but-I-love-them purchases. Now I wish I had bought more.

And, actually, thanks to the Internets, I can! The flags were designed by Rie Elise Larsen, and they are available at several web shops. I think I might get a string of paper birds, too.

Just lovely stuff.

Funny, I had the same experience with party flags. I bought a small length of them about 6 months ago for Siggy's room but I haven't hung them yet. There's no great place but I just couldn't resist.
