It was my third trip to Paris, but our first while living in Sweden. And, more significantly, our first with a baby in tow. Metro ≠ baby friendly. Centre Pompidou = 10x more fun with a little one. See my blog entry.

Yes, it has beautiful architecture. But no soul. Skip it and go to Budapest instead.

We only spent a night here, but I could tell immediately that this was a city I could live in. Hope we can get back there sometime soon. Loved the new architecture, friendly people and the gigantic, wooded park.

honeymoon in älmhult

Wow, what a difference a day makes. Our friends Sara and Jeff are visiting from the U.S. and kicked off their year-long honeymoon with a trip to Älmhult. On Saturday, we drove down to Lund to check out the astrological clock in the church and the cultural museum. And, as you can see, it was damp farts all around.

On Sunday, we were in search of sun, and found it in the little resort town of Tylösand. There is a 13km coastal trail between Halmstad castle and Tylösand, so we put Sophie in the Björn and enjoyed a a really nice walk.

We're kicking ourselves that we didn't discover this area earlier. It's really nice when people come visit because it forces you to break the routine and try new things. And not take what's around you for granted.
