Ok, Ok, so a lot of you have been wondering exactly WHAT I have been doing out here since last November. Well, here's the proof ... the new 2007 IKEA catalog. Didn't write all the copy ... guess about 1/4. I didn't do the intro/"reclaim" pages. If you find some stuff you like, I probably wrote it. If you think it sucks, well, some freelancer probably worked on it. That's my story anyhow. :)

Also, Lewis just took some before and after shots of the house. (Link here to his blog.) It's not done, but it's where it's at today. I think he did an amazing job ... he did most of the work after all. (Yes, I'm one lucky kvinna.)
P.S. We got our first Swedish telemarketing call this week. Man, it's amazing how fast you can get those people off the phone when you can't speak their language. When we DO learn Swedish, I think we've just found a new use for it when we get back to the states.
By the way ... have you heard that there are more copies of the IKEA catalog than the bible? Here are this year's stats ...
Copies to be printed: ca 175,000,000
Countries: 35
Editions: 55
Languages: 27

Hey!
Just got back from a quick trip to Pittsburgh and saw a huge banner in front of IKEA saying "The new catalog has arrived." You've made the big time!
Also, got to go the Steelers / Vikings pre-season game. The 1st Strings looked good. The other strings looked stringy.

One more thing: Is that you and your child on the cover?

Rick, Lewis is completely jealous!! We don't get any football games on TV, so we signed up for NFL Field Pass. It's a live online radio broadcast of every game. Not the same as TV, but it's all we got. I feel like we're living in the 1950s or something. Until America's Next Top Model comes on, of course.
I'm totally flattered that you think I bear any resemblance to the woman on the cover. My mom said the same thing, but she's been wearing glasses since as long as I can remember. :)

By the way, even though it's not me, it IS my child. It's amazing how pregnancy and infancy FLY by in just several months! There must be something in the pickled herring...
