Tonight we put Mathis to bed, and he was not too happy about it. I closed the door and told Lewis to let him cry for a few minutes to see if he would go down. About 30 seconds later, Sophie walked authoritatively over to our bedroom door, opened it and walked in. Lewis and I looked at each other and smiled. She said something to Mathis and then yelled back at us to come pick Mathis up because he was crying.
She is such a sweet big sister it kills me. A big sister who acts way older than 3 sometimes.

Aww- that is so sweet! When you went to get him, Mathis was probably thinking, "HA! Didn't plan on the Sophie factor, did ya?"

Girlfriend, as an older sister with a little brother, I can relate to this. Then life repeated itself in my motherhood experience. We have the same scenario here too. Our son calls our daughter, "Skylar Mom". LOL!

I know. Same here. Sibling love is just the sweetest, even if it involves shouting. Mathis and Emmie are lucky to have so sweet big sisters.
